Who We Are
We serve the refining, petrochemical, midstream, pipeline, terminal, and marine industries. Whether a project is routine or complex, our approach is the same: assess the problem thoroughly, apply the right technology, and execute safely.
We operate as a mobile-first organization. Our treatment systems are self-contained, pre-permitted, and pre-engineered, which means we can mobilize to a customer facility quickly and begin operations without delay. Through our partnership with Evergreen Industrial Services, we have access to 21 locations across the United States for storage, staging, and support.
GEM employs engineers, scientists, and field professionals with deep experience in vapor control, water treatment, chemical cleaning, and HF alkylation services. We have in-house laboratory capabilities for treatability testing, and we work directly with regulatory agencies to obtain permits on behalf of our clients.
Our History
GEM Specialized Services was founded in 1994 with a focused mission: provide technically rigorous, mobile treatment solutions for industrial vapor control and water treatment. For more than 30 years, we have built our reputation on the strength of our people, our engineering capability, and our ability to show up when the work is critical.
In 2015, GEM became part of Evergreen Industrial Services, expanding our collective service line and allowing both organizations to take on a wider range of complex industrial projects. That partnership remains strong today. In 2026, GEM has re-established itself as a focused, independent operation, channeling our expertise into the specialized services where we do our best work, while continuing to collaborate with Evergreen on shared opportunities.
